People who inspire us - Jane Tomlinson MBE, CBE

Jane Tomlinson died on Monday 3rd September, aged 43. There has been so much in the papers this week about her life, and how she took up athletics despite no interest in it before, raising over £1.5M for charity.
Many people make excuses for their life and why they are not happy in their career, not taking action and sometimes feeling sorry for themselves. Jane trained to be a radiographer when she was first diagnosed and went on to compete in marathons, triathlons and a 4,200 mile bicycle ride from San Francisco to New York.Â
She obviously got a lot of personal fulfilment through these events, and personal satisfaction through what she was able to do for other people. I think its a useful reminder that satisfaction does not only come through our day job but our life as a whole.
