Leadership development - quick tip 4

Whilst working with a client through a development centre recently we looked at ways he could develop himself, here’s a quick tip I suggested that I thought you may also be interested in:

To develop leadership skills you could Many of the successful and intelligent people I work with are less strong with their interpersonal skills and this is an area they need to address to enable them to progress.

If you are logical and analytical you might want to use this ability to develop a process to follow when you first meet people.

Rather than to dive straight into a task you might want to take time to ask the other person some questions to help to build a relationship.

What is one of the very best things you can do is to learn active listening skills and you could develop this via a short introduction to counselling course.
