Graduate unemployment

The number of graduate vacancies in the UK will drop this year for the first time since 2003 so it is going to be a challenging time for school leavers and graduates this summer.
As a graduate if you aren’t going to get your ideal job, look to get something. It’s far better to work in a lower paid job than to sit at home and wait.

And do think twice before signing up for a master’s course. You really need to be clear that it is going to help you get a job, and not just spend a year and several thousand of pounds and then find you are even more overqualified for jobs.

It’s all in the papers – see this in The Guardian.
