Feedback on the Bronze Career Programme

Saturday, November 1st, 2008

Jane recently completed the Bronze Career Programme.

This is one of my cost effective assessments, comprising two assessments - The Strong Interest Inventory which helps people to compare their interests with those of other people and the Myers Briggs Type Indicator to help understand personal style.   Clients also get an extra hour of coaching to use this data and move things forward.

We generally split the time into 2 one hour sessions, as this allows me to bring the results of the two assessments together, to draw up a shortlist of jobs to explore and to use this as the starting point of the second meeting.

Jane has said that "The Bronze programme was very useful in focussing my thoughts and plans.   I have explored the Next Steps info and looked carefully at the career suggestions".

She told me about how she has explored some of the different options, found people to talk to and can see how one of the options could work out.

The personality assessment has really helped her to understand herself, to make sure she considers jobs that suit the person she is and the sort of workplace that will best suit her.

Client feedback from a 1 hour session

Thursday, July 31st, 2008

What did you like, what was helpful about our session(s)?

  •  Being able to talk openly and objectively about career decisions.
  •  The questions asked which made me really think about what I didn’t and what I did want.
  • The confidence I felt at the end of our conversation that I had come to my own decision about the direction of my career. (Prior to this I think I had been going round in circles)
  • Looking at the short term and the long term possibilities.
  • Almost forming an action plan towards the end of the conversation with objectives to follow up on.

Do you have any ideas or suggestions on how I could improve my communication or the way I worked with you?

  • I found the hour to be very valuable and can’t believe how much ground we covered in the hour. I was pleased at how quickly you could book me in for a session and throughout the process found all the communication excellent.

What has been the key learning point for you?

  •  To trust my gut feeling and go with my own thoughts a bit more.
  • When I’ve decided on something – go for it and don’t look back.

Would you work with me again? Would you recommend this service to your friends/colleagues? What would you say to them?

  • Yes definitely. I would very much like to speak with you again about an action plan for when I work with XX Company.
  •  I would definitely recommend the service to friends (already have!).
  •  I would say that it will help talk through their thoughts and also clarify ideas. Also that it will give them the confidence to do something about their career if they are thinking of a change or maybe stuck in a rut.

Could I use this as a testimonial on my literature?   Yes

Career Coaching Client Feedback

Wednesday, June 4th, 2008

What did you like, what was helpful about our session(s)?

I liked that you’re so easy to talk to and that your support doesn’t stop at suggesting some possible careers, you help make them happen too. It was helpful to see real examples of what the test results would be like and get an idea of what I could learn from them before deciding which to take. And I really appreciated the interest you took in getting to know me as a person and boost my confidence, not just focus on the test results alone. You’re the best of both worlds, a professional who makes your clients feel like friends.

What has been the key learning point for you?

That I should have a bit more faith in my own abilities, especially because I won’t be happy in a job that doesn’t challenge me.

Would you work with me again?

Yes, if I felt the need for further guidance in future.

Would you recommend this service to your friends/colleagues?

Definitely.

What would you say to them?

That if they’re feeling like finding the right direction to go in is just too daunting, it helps a lot not to go it alone.

Client Feedback - how interview coaching got my promotion to director in a blue chip company

Tuesday, May 20th, 2008

What did you like, what was helpful about our session(s)?

I was going through an assessment centre/panel interview for my promotion to director in a blue chip company and Denise helped me to get through the process successfully. I was impressed by the personal touch, experience, confidence and insightful feedback from Denise - she knows her area.

Do you have any ideas or suggestions on how I could improve my communication or the way I worked with you?

I was lucky that I was able to deal with Denise face to face during her various trips to London.

What has been the key learning point for you?

If you want to succeed in your careers, Denise is there to help you to succeed. It was worth the investment and now I’m enjoying the fruits of the success. During my search on the Internet, Denise was the only one who could provide the personal touch I was looking for.

Would you work with me again? Would you recommend this service to your friends/colleagues? What would you say to them?

I would definitiely work with denise for my next promotion/job interview.

I have no hesitation in recommending denise to anyone going through an assessment centre/ job interview.

Have you any further comments which may be relevant to me?

If you want to win the game you need to know the rules of the game. Denise can definitely provide you with all the insight and the compettive edge for you to succeed.

Client Feedback - praise for the highlands ability battery

Tuesday, May 13th, 2008

Amazing People Feedback Form

What did you like, what was helpful about our session(s)? Having accumulated vast amounts of assessment info it was really good to have the opportunity to discuss and combine with the Highlands results to pull things together and focus. I found the Highlands results fascinating and even now I find myself self-reflecting when I realise I am doing things at work that I do not particularly enjoy. Gaining greater insight into who I am and my natural abilities are invaluable to finding my best career fit and purpose. I really appreciated the considerate and understanding approach that you offered and never felt pressured. It was just nice to be able to discuss things with someone that understood my situation.

Do you have any ideas or suggestions on how I could improve my communication or the way I worked with you? I probably could do with further discussions particularly around the Highlands and the job areas that this indicated. This is related to my perfectionist streak which means I always look for the ultimate answer!

What has been the key learning point for you? Completing personality assessments is one thing but to understand your natural talents and the differences between the specialist/generalist was truly enlightening. On a personal growth level, I actually think I now view life in a different way regarding people, their talents/weaknesses and how we all experience the world in different ways.

Would you work with me again? Would you recommend this service to your friends/colleagues? What would you say to them? Yes, definitely. I have recommended your friendly, caring and enlightening approach to friends and suggested they view your website.

Have you any further comments which may be relevant to me?

Just, thank you for listening!

Career coaching - interview coaching feedback

Thursday, May 8th, 2008

Amazing People Feedback Form

What did you like, what was helpful about our session(s)?

I found it very useful:

  • to know what I was already doing right as well as picking up on areas I was weak i
  • being able to practice answering interview questions with someone I didn’t know well and then analysing these and highlighting the areas I would need to bring out my skills and experiences in a ‘competency based’ interview situation.
  •  to discuss the type of attributes that assessors look for during assessment centres

I also found it a huge boost to my confidence when you went through my feedback from a previous assessment centre and I realised that, even though I had been unsuccessful then I had not done that badly.

Do you have any ideas or suggestions on how I could improve my communication or the way I worked with you?

I thought that this was excellent – in particular your willingness to answer any quick questions/queries I had before and after our session together.

What has been the key learning point for you?

That I had the skills and experience needed to pass assessment centres/interviews but that small changes in emphasis to focus on the competencies being tested in each particular exercise could have a large impact on the overall result.

Would you work with me again? Would you recommend this service to your friends/colleagues? What would you say to them?

Yes, I would work with you again and would recommend you to friends/family.

I would tell them how useful I found our session and that while, previously, I had always had doubts/been sceptical of the usefulness of paying someone for career advice and/or assessment centre/interview coaching – that the experience of actually having done so with you has convinced me that it is a good idea.

Have you any further comments which may be relevant to me?

Thank you so much for all your help. Our session together greatly increased my confidence in attending the assessment centre and (being successful) now means that I finally have a ‘career path’ on a well regarded scheme/employer.

Client feedback

Wednesday, April 23rd, 2008

Today I got feedback from Simon. He says:

What did you like about our sessions?

I liked being able to tell you exactly what was on my mind which always made me feel better about my progress in looking for a career, something that was getting me down before I came to see you. Our sessions have given me a new found direction and a new burst of enthusiasm in finding the right job for me.

What has been the key learning point for you?

I learnt to open my mind to suggestions you gave me which I may have dismissed before hand. Thrse suggestions are now the focus of my job search.

Would you work with me again?

I would definitely work with you again, it was fantastic having someone understand what I’m going through! I have/would recommend you to friends; I’d say you’ve made my job search 1000% more efficient and effective.

Have you any further comments?

Thank you so much for all your help.  You have provided me with a new lease of life in my job hunt and opened doors that I would have otherwise left shut.

Client Feedback

Wednesday, March 12th, 2008

I’ve recently had a one hour session with a client.
Here’s the feedback I got

What did you like, what was helpful about our session(s)?

You were very approachable and easy to talk to. I found it helpful that you focused on all the positives and the skills that I already have. It was very useful to have an objective second opinion on whether a Primary PCGE is the right move for me at this time. Filling out the forms prior to out meeting and being able to vocalise my interests and ideas helped me to gain clarity on what I want to get from my career.

What has been the key learning point for you? Would you work with me again? Would you recommend this service to your friends/colleagues? What would you say to them?

I would certainly work with you again. I would recommend this service to those who are struggling to recognise their skills/strengths and to those who want advice on how to get ahead in their particular sector.   Vicki, Worcestershire

Career coaching client feedback

Monday, March 3rd, 2008

Two piece of feedback from clients came through recently.

One person said I was “Informal, chatty, friendly, keen istener, postive, and although the brief for a one hour session was vast, I covered everything in the time provided”.

The other person said “You are very friendly, personable; the follow up from the meeting was good (info was provided as promised).  This person also said that a follow up phone call would have enhanced my communication. I always follow up by email, and more than once as I want to check clients are moving ahead ok.

This has reminded me that if a client doesn’t reply, I might need to call as perhaps they find it hard to put things down on paper?

I pride myself on my personal service and I always welcome feedback and it is good to find out ways to improve my service.
