Step Three: Developing ideas
A really fun session! The results from all assessments and the outcomes from the preparation phase are brought together. We also discuss the Vision Board and integrate this into our work. The vision board is a pictorial representation of what is important to you. Prior to this session Denise will have summarised your values exercise and produced a graph of your top values.
Bringing together 3 assessments results in triangulation – you understand why jobs are being suggested. We then look broader and include the summaries from Step One. Denise spends at least an hour on preparing for this session. We spend around 2 hours creating options for you to consider.
You leave this session with a comprehensive plan to explore a list of jobs, with the 27 page Next Steps Booklet guiding you through what to do. This was extensively revised in September 2010 to simplify the process and provide the most up to date reference links.
