1: You phone/email to discuss us working together
I'll often ask you to send me some detail by email or one page of A4 to enable me to think about your situation in advance of our call. I’ll also email you my brochure so you understand about my services.
We’ll talk for 15-20 minutes and I'll answer your questions and seek some more information from you. I want to make sure there is a good fit between us, and if not will do my best to make a recommendation.
Meeting with Denise: Clients either travel to the office in Tewkesbury (GL20 8HL) or we work by phone, and with many there is a combination of methods. The nearest rail station is ‘Ashchurch for Tewkesbury’ about 2 hours from London Paddington and if you book in advance you can buy 2 single tickets at £9 each, and Denise will collect you from the station.
With phone sessions there is no visual contact (unless we use skype with webcam) but this doesn’t detract from the session and I listen even more carefully to how you say something as well as what you say. Assessment feedbacks in particular work well by phone.
2: I'll send an email with suggestions for how we could work together
With many years of experience, and taking account of your budget I'll make suggestions for how I think I can best help you. I never persuade people to spend more money than they have, and we will adapt to suit your budget. With a limited budget I'll get you to do more work on your own, guided by me.
If we think the Highlands Ability Battery would benefit you I’ll suggest you take the sample tests from the Highlands company web site. You can access it here
3: You will decide if you want to work with me or not
There’s no pressure, and I expect people to take time to make the right decision for them. You may have further questions, so send these by email as its often the best way to get a quick reply otherwise we can spend a couple of days playing ‘phone tag’.
4: If you want to go ahead
You can pay online, using my secure payment portal – worldpay or paypal. Within 24 hours and often much sooner you will get whatever you need to get started. This includes a personal information form (one page for a one off session; more detailed for those who book for a programme). For assessments, the instructions will be emailed to you.

5: You get started
And feel happy that you are now making progress. If you get stuck during your programme or have a question in between sessions contact us and your query will be dealt with promptly.
Everything you say in sessions or during your programme is treated in strictest confidence.
Some sessions are highly structured – such as a feedback discussion on an assessment; others have less structure. Whilst there is an overall process, this will be flexed to suit your particular preferred working style and situation.
I'll give you home work/ reflections to consider (as appropriate), and you will complete before the next session.
If you are on The Gold Programme, once we have had the 'Bring it together' session you then have an hour of contact left. You can take this as a 1-hour session or 2 or 3 shorter keeping on track phone calls. Choice is yours. Denise will be happy to help but will assume you are making good progress if you don't get in touch.
Some people want more support. Rather than include it in the programme, when 70% of people don't need it, extra sessions are available at a reduced rate.
6: You conclude your programme or agreed number of sessions
You will be asked for a testimonial and also feedback on any ways the service could be improved to enable Denise to improve her services, learn and grow.
