Early August.
Summer time and the weather is still hot.
What I like about the heat is that we tend to slow down, which gives us more time to think and reflect. This can be the perfect time to think about where you are going in your life/career and see if you can make changes alone or you need professional help. You will probably spend the rest of the summer gently mulling things over, but at some point you will want to take action. If you would like to discuss how I can be of help you can arrange a time to talk.
PERSONAL UPDATE
8 weeks since I moved – I’ve had extra sockets installed, 4 rooms decorated including plastering 2 walls and now look quite settled. Just need to get the Surround Sound set up.
I’ve started, and stopped, Bachata dance class (one of the moves triggered a back problem), joined a couple of groups to go to gigs and the cinema with and now do regular classes at the gym – Zumba, Pilates, Barre Fitness plus swimming at both the gym and the Lido. Still got the garage to sort out to make room for my car.
CLIENT WORK
CV and LinkedIn re-writes; Interview Practice; profile raising; dealing with challenging work situations; helping younger clients decide what to do for A levels and beyond plus job search masterclasses. I’m always happy for you to pass my details on if you think someone may be interested in my services – anything from career direction, all aspects of job search and personal marketing and career management. I also work within companies providing executive career coaching and pre-retirement seminars.
MASTER CLASS
These are great! Choose to spend an hour or a day and we completely focus on where you struggle. In an hour you can ask questions and get clear answers, all recorded so you can listen to it again. For a half or full day we can review every aspect of job search and implement changes on the fly, the structure is to suit your needs. If this interests you, let’s arrange to talk.

ON THE BLOG

I’ve created a system to share blog posts with you and I’d love to know what you think of this.  The system will trigger an email (if there is a new blog post), but a maximum of twice a week. I’ve been busy (22 articles in a month). Some were drafted and never posted, I don’t expect to write so many in months to come … but I do like writing! Here’s the full list, click on any to take you to the full article and if you have a comment, I’d love to get a discussion up on my blog.

IN THE MEDIA

You may have seen me quoted in The Sun last week – 6 ways to spot a liar.
I’m also involved with 2 media campaigns, similar to what I did with Green Flag earlier this year. Once the campaigns are live I’ll let you know. For now, I’ve produced quotes for the press release and will probably attend a ‘Radio Day’ where I’m in a studio with a representative of the company, appearing on many different radio shows. My favourite remains being on Kerrang Radio with David Lammy MP.
Plenty to read in this bumper issue, I know you will find something of interest.
Enjoy the weekend – I’ve got live music, walking, the cinema and swimming planned!
Till next time
