University is not the only answer. There is increasing realisation that a university education is not going to be right for each person but as parents we can be unsure of the apprenticeship options.

To help my clients I’ve drawn together some helpful resources,

A good place to start is with the Higher and degree apprenticeships guide.

There are lots of additional resources here

To find out the breadth of apprenticeships you can visit the Government website

More information is also available on the Prospects website

Find degree level apprenticeships to apply for from the Milkround website.

And you can search ‘Find an apprenticeship’ via the Government website

Search the find an apprenticeship service for apprenticeships in England.

Part of my work as a career psychologist is to help parents support their young adult children to make good choices, please get in touch to discuss how I can help.

And don’t forget my article on Teenager job hunting tips
