You may know the job you seek, but appreciate it may take a few months to get a job offer.Yet you need money now, you need a survival job, a temporary measure to bring money in.Or you may be looking for a way of developing an additional income on ‘the side’.

Here are some suggestions of work you could undertake which would still give you free time to job hunt.
If you want to temp rather than go through an agency you could create a flyer and spend a day distributing it in office buildings, etc. Contact small companies/retail where the owner makes the decision and NOT corporate HR.
You could also look to work in a call centre, there is often a high turnover and with 24/7 shifts it can often leave you free to go to interviews during the day. Telemarketing usually have vacancies, you may not like it, but it will pay the bills and give you very useful skills – dealing with rejection/ building relationships fast!
Consider freelance work part by setting up a profile on websites such as odesk.com, www.elance.com and www.peopleperhour.com/freelance/uk
